If your home has vintage lighting fixtures from the 1920s and 1930s, whether it be ceiling lighting or vintage sconces, and regular light bulbs don’t look right, you should try these decorative light bulbs! Whether it be art deco scones, a spanish revival chandelier, or craftsman lighting, you’ll love the results! THIS LISTING IS FOR FIVE (5) BULBS: FLAME SHAPED AMBER LED (DIMMABLE) INCLUDING GROUND SHIPPING. In the Early 20th Century shaded and softened light had become the style, in vogue and bulb companies began finding ways to soften the light to replace the clear glass around a bare filament which left a hard edge light as bulb technology increased. GE introduced painted bulbs as part of their “Mazda” bulb line to give bare light bulbs some colors soften the light, and make them fixture look great even when turned off. We’ve reproduced 3 shapes of those bulbs in two color choices, amber and gold, and similar in size and wattage to the originals from the era. These are LED versions of our long beloved incandescent bulbs—same shape, size and color—but these are extremely long life (10,000 hours) and cool to the touch! All three shapes are BRIGHTER than the incandescent bulbs currently on the market, and are dimmable as well. LED bulbs are the equivalent of 40w but only use 5.5w. See our photos of vintage catalogs from the 1920s and 30s which shows painted bulbs in use. Note the use of the smaller sphere in candles and when light fixtures have bulbs below them. Flame bulbs ALWAYS point up! Never down. The LED filament source tends to be more apparent than the much fine thin incandescent filament, and seen a bit through the colored coating when the bulb is off. LED bulbs are dimmable with a regular dimmer though which does affect the color. 40w Equivalent in 5.5w for huge energy savings!
