Beautiful Large Hand Painted Sculpture Young Girl with Lamb DEAR Italy Signed BA For Your Figurine Collection or to Decorate Your House – DearSculpture1 Details Description: A beautiful handpainted or hand painted sculpture or figurine DEAR Italy. The piece, which is attached to a round wood base depicts a young girl seated on a tree trunk and petting a lamb sitting next to her. The piece is very colorful and shows great details. The bottom of the wooden base is marked and the piece itself has the initials BA engraved in the green grass at the girl’s feet. A great decorative piece that is in great condition that would look great in your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Unknown. Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The piece is made in Italy. Size: The figurine is ~10 1/4″ high with the base measuring ~8 1/4″ in diameter and the piece weighing almost 5 1/2 pounds. Maker: Dear Atristic Sculptures Marks: On bottom of the wood base the crowned words “DEAR; SCULTURE ARTISTICHE; HAND PAINTED; ITALY” while the sculpture itself has the initials BA on the top of the grass at the foot of the young girl. Distinguishing Characteristics – Most Interesting About The Piece: A beautiful figurine that would display nicely in your collection or would make a nice decorative accent around your home. Condition: The sculpture is in great condition with no breaks, cracks, chips, hairlines, crazing or repairs. The piece is beautiful and the colors are fresh and vivid. We have carefully examined the piece and we did not see any chips or losses. The wood base has some scratches, which can be seen in the photos. The only issue we see is a line in the fingers of the young girl that is petting the lamb, which we believe is an artifact of the manufacturing as opposed to being a crack since it does not go all the way through and there is no way it could have broken given the way the sculpture is set (see last photo). The piece is a bit soiled, mainly with dust, and would benefit from a good cleaning, but we leave that to the discretion of the new owner. Please see photos for additional condition information.
