PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION FOR CONDITION, SHIPPING, & OTHER INFORMATION. Up for sale is this used semi loaded Ferrington Telecaster guitar body in a beautiful factory red finish with binding on the top and back of the body. This was a complete guitar that I decided to part out and will be doing the same for a few more guitars if they don’t sell as a complete guitar. This is a Ferrington Guitar Inc. guitar body not a Kramer Ferrington guitar body. This is an actual Danny Ferrington Guitar body. The quality of this body is stunning. I’ve enjoyed it for years. I was just never a big fan of the pointed headstock on these. The neck had the Ferrington logo with the “F” sound hole logo he’s know for having. So I sound it a few years back. The tag inside the body sound hole is blank except for the model which is not correct. This would have been the KFT-2 if anything so not sure how this one got out the door with it being blank and or with the wrong model written on it. My guess it that it went out the door blank to help fill orders for these since there was obviously a shortage of these available after Kramer went bankrupt and Danny Ferrington moved to the west cost in California to set up his new company with one of the guys form the Kramer company. During this time these guitars were not being produced. If this is the case then whoever bought the guitar wrote the wrong model on the tag themselves. Either way the model is incorrect. Even though Ferrington Guitars Inc. was no longer part of Kramer the model nomenclature stayed the same to differentiate the models to keep things simple. I sold the original Ferrington Guitar neck that was on this body a few years ago as I had a Fender American Stratocaster guitar neck mounted to this body and it played really well. This guitar body comes as shown. Pickups and electronics worked when I parted this guitar out a couple days ago. So they are in working condition. However the saddle was so brittle it broke in to two pieces. You will need to get a new saddle for this guitar body but I will send the one that was on it along with the body. It had been grooved pretty crudely where the strings cross the saddle as if someone tried to lower the string action by this method instead of actually shimming the neck in the neck pocket. The lead wires that connect the 9 volt battery to the preamp have been extended so you don’t have to fight it trying to replace the battery. (BATTERY NOT INCLUDED) The guitar body has a two small dings in the finish that I can see, that are located on the face of the body. (See Pics) There is a little worming in the guitar finish on the back of the body but very little and not visible untypical angle the body in the light the right way. However they are only cosmetic and do not affect the playability of the body at all. This is a 30 + year old guitar body and so it does have a some small imperfections in the finish which I’ve tried to describe as well as capture in the pics provided. Over all the finish on this guitar and condition of the body are in excellent condition considering it’s age. I’ve tried to capture the worst of it in the pics provided. I do have more pics of this guitar body if you need to see anything specific as eBay only allows for 24 pics to be added to the listing. The wood is in great shape and the body is still solid. The neck pocket on this guitar body is 2 3/16” just like the Fender guitars have. The finish is not flawless but it’s about as close as your gonna find to it, so please look at all the pics as they are part of the description as well.
