Presented here is a natural volcanic glass stone chess set. All the pieces and the board were cut, carved, and polished from silver sheen black obsidian and from mahogany obsidian. See pictures for additional visual description and measurements. I had intended this set to be a focal point in a room dedicated to displaying what had been an extensive collection of chess sets, but, I got married (again) before that could happen, sooo, now it’s just taking up valuable storage space. Being of natural stone and hand crafted, each piece is uniquely different from the rest. Some of the pieces may exhibit natural flaws. The board is chipped in the middle of one side (see pics), but otherwise everything seems to be in good condition. Securely packed and ready to ship, the box measures 28″ x 27″ x 15″, weighs 49 pounds, and ships from 92630. See photos for additional information and visual descriptions.
