***Hello fellow Transformers collectors. Here’s a little background about this piece. While Non-patch Series 3 minibots are uncommon and more rare than their Patch equivalent, Here you have something even more special. This is not only one of the rarest Series 3 non-patch minibots but it is also a potentially unique as in 1 of 1 variant. Take a close look at the bubble of Outback. Not only does it surprisingly have a patch inside which is what typically comes inside the more common patch version of Outback, it also has a Patch version of the bubble attached to a Non-patch card. See the bubble closest to the card and the squared elevation allowing room for the patch that’s enclosed inside. After seeing this piece, I reviewed hundreds of Non-patch series 3 minibots that were initially released with a patch on a patch card…think yellow triangle in the upper corner…and then transitioned to the less common Non-patch versions of each that only include a special mail away offer tiny booklet inside. While transition variants are well known among many G1 Transformers including and especially G1 cars in TM or Circle R boxes with or without a Rub sign OR variants of the original White Border Warpath with or without a black faceplate and within one of two different bubble types, I’ve never seen a transition Patch to Non-patch series 3 minibot until this Outback, and further research on Worthpoint of old EBay listings going back over ten years confirms the rarity of this piece and that it may be a unique example of this variation among all series 3 minibots.
