Beautiful Antique Wall Sconce Gorgeous antique condition! An original gas fixture from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s, wired for electricity, new porcelain socket installed, working well and ready to hang. The metal is all non-magnetic so it is either brass or copper and has a stunning patina. A beautiful sconce with so much personality! The arm comes straight out from the wall and does not swivel. The glass shade is frosted and has a Greek Key geometric pattern along the top edge. No cracks in the shade – just a couple teeny, tiny flea bite chips along the edge which aren’t noticed when hung and in use (see closeups). Use one standard-base light bulb up to 100 watts, or use an LED bulb for any brightness you like as they use low wattage for bright light. Light bulb not included. This beautiful antique is from a large antique lighting collection in Fenton, Michigan – see and watch our store for more from this fantastic collection. Here are details about the restorer: The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family’s burglar alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980’s: “Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales”. He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #23). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art. We are certainly proud to have acquired his amazing collection, as we also restore and sell antique lighting and love to share it with all of you who want true antique pieces that have historic personality in your homes and buildings.
